Health
& Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981:-
Whether
you are self-employed or work for a large multinational company the
Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations, 1981 apply to you.
The
key parts of these regulations are the requirements for first aid kits
and the requirements for staff to be trained in first aid.
Regulation
3, Paragraph (1) of the Act states:- An employer shall provide, or ensure
that there are provided, such equipment and facilities as are adequate
and appropriate in the circumstances for enabling first-aid to be rendered
to his employees if they are injured or become ill at work.
